1. About these terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of the Jeev Constructions website and to enquiries and quotes made through it.

Construction work we carry out is governed by a separate written contract signed by both parties, in accordance with the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW). Where these website terms and your signed building contract differ, the signed contract prevails.

By using this website you agree to:

Provide accurate information in enquiries and quote requests
Not use the website for any unlawful purpose
Not attempt to interfere with the website’s operation or security

4. Quotes

Free quotes

We provide free, no-obligation on-site consultations and quotes across our service areas.

How quoting works

A quote is provided after an on-site consultation, not over the phone or by email alone
Quotes are itemised and fixed-price for the scope described
Quotes are typically delivered within 48 hours of the site visit
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued, unless stated otherwise
After 30 days, material and labour costs may have changed and the quote may be revised

What a quote covers

A quote covers only the scope of work described in it. Anything not listed is not included.

No obligation

Requesting or receiving a quote does not create a contract. A contract exists only when both parties sign a written building contract.

5. Website enquiries and AI chat

Enquiries submitted through our website, contact forms or AI chat assistant are treated as expressions of interest only.

Our AI chat assistant

Answers general questions and collects your details so we can contact you.

It does not provide quotes, prices or cost estimates, and nothing it says is binding on us. All pricing comes from a written quote following a site visit.

6. Pricing and variations

Fixed-price quotes

The price we quote is the price you pay for the scope quoted.

Variations

A variation is any change to the agreed scope. Variations may arise from:

Changes you request
Site conditions that could not reasonably have been identified before work started (for example, rock, unstable ground, hidden services, contaminated soil, unexpected drainage issues)
Council or certifier requirements
Changes in law or building standards

All variations will be documented in writing, priced, and signed by both parties before the additional work proceeds. We will not carry out chargeable variation work without your written approval.

7. Payment terms

Our standard payment schedule is:

Stage	Amount
Deposit to secure booking	5%
Commencement of work	25%
Project midpoint	50%
Completion and handover	20%

Progress payments are due within 7 days of invoice unless otherwise agreed in your contract
Payment terms for individual projects are set out in your signed building contract and prevail over this schedule
We reserve the right to suspend work where payments are overdue
Deposits are subject to the limits set by the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW)

8. Scheduling and timeframes

We provide realistic schedules and communicate honestly about progress.

However, completion dates may be affected by:

Weather and site conditions
Council or certifier approval timeframes
Material supply and delivery delays
Access restrictions at your property
Variations to the scope of work
Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

We will keep you informed of any changes to your schedule as soon as we’re aware of them.

9. Site access and your responsibilities

To allow us to complete your project safely and on schedule, you agree to:

Provide safe and reasonable access to the work area during agreed working hours
Advise us of any known underground services, easements, drainage or site hazards
Secure or remove valuables, furniture, plants and belongings from the work area
Keep children and pets away from the work area
Obtain any owner’s corporation, strata or neighbour consents required
Advise us if the property is heritage listed or subject to any restrictions

We will maintain a clean site each evening and carry out a full professional cleanup at handover.

10. Workmanship warranty

We provide a written workmanship warranty on all completed projects, in addition to the statutory warranties required under the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW).

What is covered

Defects in our workmanship, under normal use and conditions.

What is not covered

Normal wear and tear
Damage from misuse, neglect, or lack of maintenance
Damage from storms, flood, fire, ground movement or other events outside our control
Work altered, repaired or modified by others after handover
Materials or products supplied by you or a third party
Natural variation in timber, concrete and stone (including minor colour variation, surface cracking, and movement) which is normal and expected in these materials
Failure to follow maintenance guidance we provide

Manufacturer warranties on materials and products are passed on to you and are subject to the manufacturer’s own terms.

11. Insurance and licensing

Jeev Constructions holds:

NSW Contractor Licence 466622C
Public liability insurance
Home Building Compensation (HBC) cover on projects where required by law

Certificates of currency are available on request.

12. Cancellation

Before work commences

If you cancel after signing a contract but before work starts, we may retain the deposit to cover costs already incurred, including design, engineering, council fees and materials ordered.

After work commences

If you cancel after work has started, you are liable for all work completed to date, materials purchased, and reasonable costs incurred.

Cooling-off period

Where a statutory cooling-off period applies under NSW law, your rights under that legislation are unaffected by these terms.

Cancellation by us

We may cancel a contract where payments are significantly overdue, safe site access cannot be provided, or continuing would breach the law or our licence conditions.

13. No refunds on completed work

Because construction work is performed to order on your property, completed work cannot be returned.

This does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law or the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW), including your rights where work is defective or not carried out with due care and skill.

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our work, contact us and we will work with you to resolve it.

14. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, photographs, logos, designs and the Jeev Constructions name and marks — is owned by Jeev Group Pty Ltd or used under licence.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify or distribute our content without written permission.

Project photographs taken by us remain our property. We may use them in our marketing, subject to the photography terms in our Privacy Policy.

15. Liability

To the extent permitted by law:

We are not liable for indirect, consequential or economic loss
Our liability for any claim is limited to the value of the contract for the work in question
We are not liable for loss or damage arising from information you provided that was inaccurate or incomplete
We are not liable for pre-existing defects or conditions at your property

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under Australian Consumer Law or the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW) that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Dispute resolution

If a dispute arises, we ask that you contact us first at info@jeevgroup.com.au or 0480 082 276 so we can try to resolve it directly.

Most issues are resolved quickly with a conversation.

If we cannot resolve the matter, either party may refer it to NSW Fair Trading for assistance, or to the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT).

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts and tribunals of New South Wales.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The current version will always be available on our website with the date it was last updated.

Changes do not affect contracts already signed.
